About the Foundation
Greetings
Greetings, everyone. I am Kim Byung-soo, the Chairman of the Gimpo Cultural Foundation.
We extend our most sincere gratitude for visiting the Gimpo Cultural Foundation.
Gimpo City has grown into a sizable city with a population of 500,000 and is steadily approaching close to 700,000. Gimpo City, which connects the north and the south of the Korean Peninsula, and the mainland to the ocean, has strong growth potential as a cultural city as it is equipped with an abundance of cultural and artistic resources including the Aegibong Peace Ecopark and Gimpo Art Village.
Arts and culture serve as tools that promote communication among various citizens. When the citizens continue to build meaningful interactions with one another and weave stories that are centered on culture and art, the city will flourish and grow more beautiful.
Established in 2015, the Gimpo Cultural Foundation has served as a hub for residents of Gimpo who love culture and the arts.
Gimpo has transformed into a cultural city by attracting and introducing outstanding cultural and artistic works, all while discovering various cultural and artistic elements concealed in Gimpo City.
Moving forward, the Gimpo Cultural Foundation, in line with ‘communicating’ Gimpo in the lives of the citizens, will continue its efforts to provide more specialized performances, exhibitions and festivals, and ensure that all citizens can freely enjoy culture and art.
We will keep listening closely to the voices of citizens so that they can all enjoy culture and art to their heart's content everywhere in Gimpo. We will keep working hard towards a happy Gimpo.
Thank you very much.
