An Introduction to Gimpo s Historical Assets Characters
The Gimpo Cultural Foundation is proud to present Jogang, Aegibong, Deokpojin, and Munsusanseong Fortress, the characters they developed to effectively promote Gimpo's representative historical resources with a rich history and cultural significance. God of Jogang river, the protector deity of the end of Han River, Aegibong which symbolizes the longing for one's hometown, and the defenders of Gimpo, Captain Deokpo, and Munsusan Fortress. We look forward to your appreciation and support for the Gimpo Historical Characters that promote local history and culture.

National Historical Site No. 29. As the battlefield of Shinmiyangyo (1871) during the Joseon Dynasty, it served as an important strategic defense facility leading to Seoul.

National Historical Site No. 139. It is a fortress on the highest mountain of Gimpo, Munsusan Mountain, and served as the battlefield of Byeonginyangyo (1866)
